I'm thinking of jumping in on one of the cheapo (~$400) Dell PCs for use as an audio server. I would want to move the PC guts into a real HTPC case for asthetics. I know the motherboard and power supplies in most Dells are proprietary designs and would like some opinions on what sort of...
Restarts during a game can indicate bad video drivers. Try completely uninstalling your current drivers, restart and then install the newest nVidia Detonator drivers.
I'm pretty sure the Sony converts 720p to 1080i. I think the fact that it's 4:3 720p is the problem. The Wega needs to display 1080i in a HD "window" and I wonder if SC being 4:3 screws things up a bit. Even if it worked you'd have black bars on top and on the sides resulting in an itty bitty...
Wipeout XL for PSone. Best job of implementing an already great soundtrack into a game. The visual designs by DR bring the whole package together. Yea, it's a PSone game but turn on texture smoothing on your PS2 and you'll be amazed how well it stands up today.
Good research, Romier. Those numbers are troubling to look at -despite the fact that they don't include a few retail heavies like Walmart and Toys R Us. On the retail side I can add one thought that relates to the poor timing of Nintendo's problems. The Xbox rather than PS2 is the current...
Well, it could be a very nice warehouse for all we know. Nice orderly stacks of palletized boxes, manicured floors that shine like marble. ;) Seriously though, think of the time of year. Summer is the dog days of console sales. It's not a bad idea to sit on your product and stockpile for the...
Look around for a used Energy Take 5 (or, if you don't need all 5 speakers an Energy Take 2) system. You won't find them for $50 but they're great little speakers that will even do music justice.
I have a simple rule about Windows Update: NEVER download drivers from Windows Update. Every time I do something goes wrong. If I want to update my drivers I go to the source. Try getting drivers from nVidia's website. If you're on XP roll back to the date prior to the Windows Update first.
Sell them on Half.com or Amazon.com. You'll get much more there than you would at a used CD shop. Of course, I'm just taking a wild guess that is what you're talking about.
Also, don't waste any money on cart cleaning kits (if you can still find anyone selling them). They are nothing more than specially shaped Qtips & isopropyl.
They aren't really necessary. Dust isn't much of a threat to carts and the dust covers don't protect from moisture. Just clean older carts with rubbing alcohol and throw them in a zip loc baggie if you really feel the need.
I have a refirb Replay too. Mine looks brand new and functions perfectly. It's not exactly Tivo but I couldn't pass up the deal. My searches for coupons turned up nothing. I heard there were coupons a few months back but the promotions have since expired.
