Ah, there we go. for some reason the shortened google link doesn't work, but the full one does.
Well there is the plan I originally made before I started. I'll post a new thread soon with the construction pics and final pics.
Thanks Mike. It's funny you call it that, I used to be on here every day all the time all those years ago when I was first learning about this hobby. About 6-7 years ago I finally built my dream theater and sort of stopped coming here (and avsforum) I really should post pictures of it here since...
Hi Adam,
I've been away from this forum for several years now but I decided to log in today and I was quite surprised to see my old thread had been resurrected.
I'm sorry to hear about your situation, but it sounds like you are making a good recovery. How are things going now?
Chris
I've switched from x10 to Insteon. I found it much more reliable and flexible than x10. Plus it is backwards compatible with your existing x10 switches.
Chris
You might want to check out some of the products from: Video Storm LLC: HDTV Matrix & Component Switches, Distribution Amplifiers I've got one of their Component video switchers and it is great. I think they do have stuff for what you are looking for, but it does get a bit expensive. Chris
I also have an 805 and if I recall, it does state in the manual that the max resolution for upconversion to HDMI is 720p. The solution is to also run a component cable out to your tv/projector as that will pass whatever signal it gets. That's what I do and I'm totally happy with it. Chris
I got a note in the mail a while back saying that they would be filming this in my area and parking might get screwed up. I looked into it back then and I've been interested in it ever since. Chris
Yeah I've had this happen to my Sanyo Z2. They replaced the whole optical block for me under warranty. And since then I've been extra careful to make sure I clean out the filter regularly. You won't be able to reverse what has already happened, but you can certainly slow it down by making sure...
Check out www.video-storm.com I've got one of their CSW62 and am really happy with it. It had everything I was looking for, 6 inputs, IR control and no degradation of HD signals. I highly recomend it. Chris
Also along the lines of what other were saying. I remember once seeign an interview with the president of Nortel who has a large collection of nice cars and what he said was somethign like "The true measure of a sports car is not how fast it goes, but how fast it can go around corners"...
I really like the looks of the Solstice, but one thing that I never even really thought of before I got my Miata is something that I couldn't do without. Well it's 2 things really and it has to do with how the rook opens. First of all the great thing about the Miata is that the roof doesn't go...
Here's another vote for the Miata. I've got a 2002 with the sports package and I love it. So much fun to drive. Also, in the winter I put the Hardtop on and a good set of winter tires and I drive it all winter with no problems at all (Canadian winters no less). You really can't go wrong with...
Thanks for the replies guys but I know it's not the batteries becasue when the receivers is getting a volume signal from teh remote, the light on the knob flashes. So I can see it flashing but it's just not physically moving. And I've got a Pronto 7500 that is fully charged, but neither that...
I've had my trusty receiver for about 7 years now (where does the time go) and over the past little while the volume has been acting up. I'd press the button on my remote, and I can tell the receiver is getting the signal because the light flashes, but the knob won't move. So for a while I could...
I highly recommend ICO. Especially if you like Shadow of the Colossus as it was made by the same team. It's my favourite PS2 game and I used to work for Sony as a game tester and have played pretty much every game they've made (up until early 2003 that is) Chris
My wife and I just went there in October for our honeymoon and we stayed in on of the Casita rooms at the El Dorado Royale. It was amazing. The food was all gourmet and all the restaurants were a la carte. It was more expensive than some of the other resorts we were looking at, but we figured...
Don't worry Michael, I knew exaclty what you were talking about. And I share you hatred of any kind of stretch modes. Sorry I can;t offer any insight into your heat build-up concerns as I don't have a plasma, but it certainly would make things look better. But I just had to reply to let you...
I don't really have anything else to add to this post that hasn't already been said. i did want to respond to this though. I've been here for 7 years now, and I don;t even think I've cracked 200 posts yet I'm reading this almost every day. Some people just like to listen and speak up only once...
