Thanks to all for the info. I didn't realize that Disney released such drastically different quantities (especially for a character as popular as Donald). I think I will take the plunge and buy from one of the Amazon vendors. I noticed that a couple of them sold out of their remaining copies in...
Greetings all, I have been relatively inactive in regards to posting in this forum and in purchasing of DVD's for a while so my question may seem to be outdated, because it is! I purchased most of the Disney Treasure cartoons as they became available until a few years ago. I recently became...
During "Release Week" Best Buy sold this with House of 100 Corpses at $20 for both! I already had "House" but bought the combo and gave "House" to my son.......
I purchased this exact set (65315). No motion blur, no screen door, no rainbows.....and way less expensive than the digital sets. If you have good light control, and room (it's a big sucker), I don't think you'll be disappointed. I am sure we will all have non-CRT displays someday, but for...
I believe that another motivation for the table top concept is driven by the desire to sell you a "matching" stand for an extra $300 - $400 dollars :D Many seem to be designed in such a way as to not look right if they are not on the matching stand IMHO.....
I was in Circuit City recently and observed two ladies standing in front of one of the cheesy Bose displays with the rear channel "cubes" suspended on a couple of rods that extended about 5 feet out into the aisle, about 8 feet up in the air. One of the ladies commented how she had always...
My main concern with this scheme is the famous "slippery slope" argument. We are slowly but surely slipping down the slope of "pay per use" of all media entertainment. :frowning:
I guess I am a 56 year old "kiddie". My wife (54) and I have watched SJ since it first came out, and are rewatching the first season DVD for the second time. We usually watch it on Saturday morning during breakfast. There's something about watching cartoons on Saturday morning I have never...
I agree it's V V, not W, but for kicks I went to the Sony site and did a search for Vega and VVega and got no hits. A search for Wega brought up the TVs ;)
I use Craig's method, except I use DVD Profiler. One item per bar code. Except for bragging rights, I don't see the use of counting each and every disk. I maintain records of my purchases for insurance purposes, and for keeping track of my DVD's since I let certain friends and relatives...

Thanks for this tip, Mark! I just received Tomorrow Land, Chronological Donald, and On the Front Lines in the original numbered tins. My collection is now complete!
My first computer was a Heathkit H89 with Dual Z80 CPUs, 64k RAM, and 320k hard sector diskette (might be wrong on the diskette size). I also built some of their test equipment such as the digital multimeter.
My son's fiancee showed up for our Thanksgiving meal with her own bottle of Heinz Ketchup. She was afraid that we wouldn't have Heinz for her to put on the turkey! She refused to eat any other kind of ketchup. However, she did not like it on steak. Her method of cooking a steak would make me...

Tell me more about the B&D cordless. I was eyeballin' one of these this week. I have a fairly small lot, and one of these might do the trick. How long does it run on a charge? Any idea on battery life, ow any years do they last, etc? Can you get replacement batteries...
I do not mean anything derogatory, haughty, or "snide" by this comment, but I bet some folks won't believe this: I didn't even know the superbowl occurred today until I read HTF. I used to be an NFL fan years ago, before the players changed teams every season, and the teams changed cities way...
Look in Settings->Control Panel->Administrative Tools->Services, find it in the list of services, and make sure the Status is "Started", and Startup Type is "Automatic". It is more than likely running, but I mentioned it just in case.........
I had a w2k server fail to run tasks because someone turned off the "Protected Storage" service which is used to encrypt the password needed to run the task. You might check that just in case.......
Try using Driver Cleaner Be sure to follow the instructions carefully. This utility has a good reputation on the net. It will remove all the old nvidia stuff left behind from previous installs. You can then install the nVida drivers you want. Hope this helps :)
Most modern PCs will not simply turn off by pressing the power button. They like to be turned off by using the "shutdown" menu. In cases where the shutdown menu doesn't work, then it is necessary to press and hold the power button for about 5 seconds for it to turn off. It is not really a...
It could be the Remote Desktop Help service that is built in to XP. You can disable the service, add a DSL/Cable router with DHCP, and a software firewall to thwart any attempt he might make. You might also want to download Spybot Search & Destroy, or purchase something like Pest Patrol...
I would not take this so-called documentary very seriously, since it was not an actual documentary. http://www.hardylaw.net/Truth_About_Bowling.html Unfortunately Mr. Moore chose to twist the truth to suit his own purposes. I believe that he may have had a point, but when I discover...
If we didn't have guns to defend ourselves against despots, lunatics, dictators; a lot of us might be speaking Japanese or German right now instead of French or English. And if said "lunatics, despots and dictators" did not have guns, they would have used sharp pointy sticks to do their...
You didn't mention the O/S, if its NT, Win2k, or XP, bring up the task manager (Ctl+Alt+Del) and check the processes tab. Then click CPU column header to sort by % utilization. Normally the "System Idle Process" should be running about 99% if you are not running any applications. If some...
I have the Intel D875PBZ and really like it. Well laid out, rock solid, easy to setup. This is my first Intel mobo, always bought Asus in the past. However, in the past I have always dabbled in overclocking. I have lost interest, so to speak, with OC'ing Intel chips. Really not worth the...
The collector's coin was not included. There is an order form to purchase the coin for $4.95 :frowning: The same order form has a "coin holder" to display all the coins, also for "only" $4.95 shipping and handling, or if you prefer, you can get the coin and the holder for $7.95. I got this...
Perhaps these folks just don't care to share with you what they do with their time. Personally, I like to keep my business to myself when it comes to co-workers inquiries of "What did you do this weekend?". My usual response is "Nothing, just mowed the grass". For the most part, they are...
