Marc is THE absolute best seller :emoji_thumbsup: :emoji_thumbsup: :emoji_thumbsup: . I've lost count how much time he had spent assisting me with this player from the day of shipping until today (and his help continues on). I'm going to see where I can get this player soon, especially I...
liking something (or not) is a very subjective and can't be argued. I find celery and PB gross, but there is no point in asking people why they like it. I'd rather ask "why people like PB&J sandwich?" :D
I should be receiving the player either today or Monday. Next week all week I'll be writing a subwoofer review, I'll review it the week after. Keep refreshing this thread with new findings guys! :)
PDR-05 does not have legato-link. I have two of them, and nowhere it says "legato link". The Elite brother of the 05 (can't remember the model number), does have Legato Link and at the time was sold for about CAD$100 more. During the PDR-05 days, Otari, HHb, Tascam uses the same Pioneer...
Greg, I'll write a review on this unit in comparison to Samsung's 931 and Bravo D1. I'll start the review as soon as I receive the unit from Marc. Once I'm done with the review, I may sell the unit again for $150 shipped.
More questions: 1. How much did you get charged for shipping 2. How's the built quality? 3. Does it have chroma bug? 4. Does it converts PAL disc to be diplayed on NTSC TV? 5. How's the layer change?
in terms of car players, many support CD text. Kenwood, Clarion, JVC, Aiwa, Sony (of course), Rockford Fosgate, most unknown Chinese brands HU, Panasonic, Eclipse, to name a few.
Yes, but the question was (and still is "... or do I need an Elite?") Say you buy a 563 and buy a decent scaler that outputs 720p or 1080i, you'll need to spend more than $1300 just for the scaler. So at that price, it's a steal. Besides, the bass management will be much better than 563...
The MSRP for the unit is $1600. However, knowing Pioneer, you should be able to get it at around $1300 street, if not lower. As far as Samsung scaling DVD player goes, virtually anything is better than that. The name Samsung itself makes me shudder.
just wait for a couple more months for the introduction of DV-59. Not only a universal player, but also comes with a built-in scaler to 720p and 1080i.
Clean Plus is not only a software. It's a hardware pre-amp (good quality one) and a software. I'm bound to NDA but the remastering capability of this particular combo is so phenomenal it's being used by several famous mastering studios.
Although I read what he wrote, I'm assuming he doesn't really know what YPAO can do to his room nor has he audition YPAO capability in his own room. I personally own Pioneer 45TX with MCACC, and that thing does wonders to my room. However, after auditioning YPAO first hand in my own room (I'm...
Rather than the 3300, I'd take the 2400 for its YPAO feature (9-band parametric eq to flatten the room's response and better timbre matching between speakers, and auto SPL system setup)
