For me, it happens all the time. It's like the sound is skipping.
It sucks big time cause I have to watch it in DTS (which is good in itself) but since I'm the only one in the house who speaks english, the rest of the family is basicly screwed :angry:
Same thing here. I have a prologic2 reciever (kenwood vr-510) and the 2 dd5.1 tracks (english and french) have drop outs. The dts and dolby headphones are ok.
My reciever writes something like: dialnorm +4 and freezes there.
I tried 3 different dvd players and 3 copies of the film, same...
I still think the new releases should have subs for the commentary tracks, no matter what the original language is.
The do it often in region 2.
It's on my wishlist.
You can soom in our our gradually. If the movie is flaged as 4x3 letterbox, there is nothing to do. The drive will do it automatically. Same thing for 4x3 materials, you will have black bars on the side.
However, if it's not flaged, you will have to zoom (exemple, the old pressing of Stargate...
