DLP Problem, do I need a new lamp?

Thanks for the reply, I tried that this morning and the bulb and surrounding areas all looked clean. Put the lamp back in and still have the same problem. Looking at the bulb itself, it looked fine. Is threre something else I should be worrying about here? Thanks

DLP Problem, do I need a new lamp?

I have an Optoma DKP TV (an RD 65). In the top right hand corner of the TV I have a dark upside down triangle shaped area, not totally black, but a very dark shadow. Over the past week, this is growing gradually. Is this a sign that I need to replace the lamp or could it be a different...

Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith (2005)

I was kind of surprised this was not added in the DVD release ... I am sure at some point someone would have told Luke that his Grandmother was killed by the Sand People, I doubt that was not an unusual occurance ... If it got knocked over/damaged, I would think Owen/Beru would have maintained it.

Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith (2005)

I was in California this weekend to visit family and we went to go see it in DLP at Emeryville. I had seen AOTC serveral time in digital and thought it looked great. We arrived at the theater about half an hour before the movie and the best seats we could get were 6th row off to the side. During...

Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith (2005)

Has anyone seen a list of the differences between the film and digital versions. Saw the film version last night in Dallas, the film broke towards the end, when Anakin was brought back b the Emperor after the Obi-Wan fight, I really enjoyed the movie, bu I am pretty sure I missed close to 5...

Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones (2002)

I think a flashback is unlikely, solely for the fact that it would be the only flashback in any of the 5 movies released so far. Lucas does not seem to big on those or "3 Years Later" type of things.

Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones (2002)

Here is a thought about R2 and memory I am putting this in spoiler tags, it is pure speculation though, it does not come from factual knowledge Portman was reported to have signed to do a sequence in EP VI. I think it is possible that her appearence will be a message in R2 that was not...

Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones (2002)

Awesome news about Plano, might go see #16 there. It has been brutal not being able to see Star Wars for the past week, but I did watch Empire Strikes Back this morning. I would also like to thank everyone who pointed me to the Galazy 10 Theater, this was about 20 pages ago :) ... that place...

Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones (2002)

That commercial rocks. I saw AOTC for the 4th time tonoght at the Galazy 10 in Dallas. the 79' screen was cool, but man the sound in there was INCREDIBLE. My level of excitement for this movie is growing on a daily basis.

Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones (2002)

Now that I have read every post in this thread, I will respond to each of them..... ... or just stop in to say that this movie was very good on many levels: 1) I liked the4 effects, with few exceptions they were well done and IMO brought back the OT tradition of having the finest looking...

    Wanted: 1 LD player

I am looking for a LD player, my needs are simple, this is going on a second TV for my kids, auto-flip would be nice, but I am not looking for major features like AC-3. Basically, I am looking for something that is decent and cheap. Thanks
