Will the Panasonic has the dolby headphone function like the DVD-1600? I really want the dolby headphone function since I use a lot of headphone for late night watching.

Hi,
I checked a few local and online places, the SD4700 is no where to be found?! What's going on? Do anyone know where can I find one? Or Toshiba has decided to stop this one.

I think you probably know that Sony makes a standalone Dolby Digital Headphone system. You just have to connect the digital bitstream from your DVD player to it. It is a wireless headphone setup. It's very pricy though, like $500.
I think Kwang Suh is right on the money about why I liked the RP56 more at first. However, after a few days with the Toshiba, I think it produces a great picture too. I'm no expert anyway. For a $189 player, it's a great value. I may return it though, because for a little bit more $$$, I can get...
This player is not out yet. No one seems to know too much inside detail on this player. It most likely will be using the Zoran's newest DVD chip to do MPEG decoding and de-interlacing. It may be very similar to the SD3750 in terms of hardware. It's just a difference on turning some features on...
One more thing I noticed on the audio spec. is support for Dolby headphone. Too bad Toshiba chose not to use it. I use headphone to watch movie late at night very often. I guess this player is too cheap that Toshiba can't afford to pay the licensing to Dolby.

Picked up mind at BestBuy at $189 last night. First impression, I think I like the RP56's image a little bit more. But the Toshiba has aspect ration control and much better OSD. It's just a lot more user friendly. I will have to calibrate my set to this new player to make my finally decision...
