I have a 4:3, 61 in Tv which has been ISF and I see the same white line between the picture and top black bar. Could this be some sort of down conversation caused by dvd players onto 4:3 ratio sets. David
I don't remember exactly when but I did have part of the video freeze for about 3 secs. It was a 4 inch line running horizontally across my 61 inch screen. I didn't experience any audio drop outs when this was happening. Since the rest of the dvd played fine I just chalked it up to possible...
I would recommend going to Audio One at steels & jane st.
They carry Sennheiser and Grado. I was only looking at
Grado myself and they let me try about 6 different models
from SR-60 up to RS-1. I ended up buying SR-225 and I was
given 15% off MRSP with out asking.
I found the sales...

Thanks for the reply Micheal. You know I did change VPOS in
the service menu forgetting about the bug. My hex values
where changing on the screen but I didn't see the image
moving. I restored it to the original settings before exiting and
checked everyone of my inputs they all seem to...
I own a TN61x81 and this TV does have separate settings for
HD signals so I set my TV on a HD preview channel and entered the convergence grid and started setting up my squeeze. I now have a perfect 27.5X48.88 (1:1.78)centered grid on my TV. I have 17X13 lines. Now when I go back to look at...
Thanks Johnny & Ugo for answering my questions.
I just ordered by HD box and the Roger tech. will be out
thursday night to do the switch for me.
Ugo thanks for the link and the procedure from your link to
do the squeeze for 1080i signal is for my TV. The great
thing about this...
I own a Toshiba TN61x81 4:3 ratio tv. Will the rogers box
do aspec ratio control like a DVD player and output a down
converted 810i HD letterbox signal to work with my screen
size. I tried talking to a couple of Rogers rep's and know
one can answer my question.
Thanks in advance,
Dave.
I did bring my radio shack SPL meter into my local theater and I measured normal dialog to be on average at 85db's and
during heavy action scenes I was getting it spiking to 115db's. I was seating in the center about 1/2 way up. The
readings kind of surprised me because the sound seemed normal...
I popped into Future Shop during my lunch hour to buy the
Phantom Menace. After grabbing my copy I checked around for
Cats & Dogs and same thing could only find 30 or 40 full
frame copies.

Hi Galen,
To answer your question the 40H80 is the new 2001 model
that replaces the old 40x81. For some reason Toshiba is
reusing old model numbers. This set has improved
focusing and lens stripping amongst other minor improvements
over the older model. I think you would be happy with this...
