The version we put out is what we wanted the audience to see in terms of a full length documentary. However, I have been considering using Kickstarter to raise money to put something else out. Not a documentary necessarily. It would be comprised of more interview footage (we have over 60...
Percy was great, he even did the narration for OUR trailer, with his words echoing those he spoke for the JAWS trailer 37 years ago. We were fortunate to get to know him briefly before his passing.
It's a fan documentary. We are not industry professionals, we are not in the industry at all. We all had day jobs, we self-funded this thing. We didn't know what the hell we were doing in terms of releases, licensing, getting interviews, etc. We flew by the seat of our pants and that's why...
It was edited on Sony Vegas instead of Avid or Final Cut, and pieces were stored on various hard drives over the years. Hard drives failed, most of the editing timelines were lost forever, so sections could not be re-edited unless they started over from scratch. No money or enthusiasm to do...
Some more details. Universal only bought the 1:40 cut of the documentary that we had been showing at film festivals. We cut it down from the original version ourselves after being told by many people in the industry it was too long and the fan centric / JAWSFest section dragged. It was a...
The official release date is August 14, 2012. The Shark is Still Working will be on the JAWS Blu-ray release. The version Universal wanted was our one hour forty minute cut.
:D
This season sucks. Bringing Rob back for fourth time is ridiculous, almost as ridiculous as the fact that his sheep have not turned on him. It seems the show is rigged for him to win. Redemption Island was briefly interesting when it was one on one and the loser is out. They keep adding more...
This is for MattCR, from the link posted above. It's from someone who works for the production company Bad Robot, that produces Lost:
Good stuff on here! I can finally throw in my two cents! I've had to bite my tongue for far too long. Also, hopefully I can answer some of John's questions about...
I've tried to stay with recent movies I haven't seen:
1. Trick R Treat (2009) - entertaining, but I don't get all the rave reviews for this movie. Maybe I set my expectations too high.
2. Drag Me to Hell (2009) - Loved this movie - Sam Raimi's return to horror. Gross out scenes, some good...
If anyone in Colorado wants to see The Shark is Still Working, it is playing July 17-19 at the Denver Starz FilmCenter, showtimes are 7:00 pm for the 17th and 18th and a matinee showing of 3:00 pm. I will be doing and intro and Q&A at the 17th showing.
Info and tickets here...
They are film festival showings, so anyone can attend. As far as blu-ray, that would be up to the distributor. The actual date/time for NY has not been determined yet, but it will likely be 9:00 PM on Oct 2nd. It will be part of the New York United Film Festival. I am also working on...
Update- The Shark is Still Working has been making the festival rounds. We are hoping for a summer 2010 release on DVD to coincide with the 35th anniversary of JAWS. Universal is rumored to be holding back JAWS on blu-ray until the anniversary as well.
May 2-3 - Los Angeles, CA
June 12-13 -...
A pretty good but slightly odd premiere episode. Nurse Jackie isn't a saint, she has some anti-hero qualities like drug use and cheating on her spouse (nice touch casting the priest from The Sopranos). Forging a signature on the donor card was "wrong", but the result was that someone was helped...
Worst ever? Why did you hate her so much? Give me a break. How many seasons of Survivor have you seen? I submit the following are worst ever. Osten: 'Survivor Pearl Islands' Janu: 'Survivor Palau'
Great season finale last night! Charlie's line about the cream of an eighth grade boy was just about the funniest line all season. Mac's karate dance moves were hilarious as well.
I love this show, but I agree with DaveF - Sheldon is getting more annoying each episode. I am really starting to dislike the character and it seems unrealistic that his friends would be able to put up with him or even want him around.
