Reading in Austin paper today in Tech Monday that Time Warner begins delivering hi-def programming KEYE and KVUE today. You have to have digital cable and trade in your box or rent one for $6.95 if you don't have one. Where does the line begin??? :) :) :)

    Austin Movie Nights!

I just returned to a friend o mine, his 3D steup with shutter glasses and three 3D dvd's. The 3D effect was pretty cool, but limited in some ways. You can see a demonstration of this in the dvd section of FRY's Austin...If you can get a salesperson to turn it on for you.

Time to plan the next Austin meet (September 2002)

Quick question for a friend: Can stand alone TIVO unit control Time Warner digital cable boxes via serial port connection? If so, which model of cable box? He has a first generation Phillips Tivo box. Information on internet indicates that although all cable boxes have serial ports, few...

Hi there I've been getting notices from my provider (EV1) for a while now informing me that they deleted messages from various sources infected with that virus. Nobody I know, but sometimes from austin.rr.com and sometimes from other isp's. I ran virus checkers and downloaded removers...
