    Dynasty

Can anyone who bought the set let me know what kind of packaging it comes in? It looks like one of those paramount thick "keep-cases" but is there a slip-cover or anything?

Some 'UGLY BETTY' DVD episodes are in the wrong order.

You're all pretty much right. ABC wanted to be able to air episodes out of sequence. So the first several were "stand-alone." SWAG was produced to be aired 4th, but they shelved it and ended up advancing with more "serialized" stories. When midseason rolled around they realized they had this...

Have you ever bought a set cause of the price?

Wasn't planning on buying FRASIER on DVD but saw seasons 1-3 for about 16 a piece during deepdiscount.com's bit 20% off sale and decided to grab them. Absolutely forgot how good the show was. I'm so happy for the sale otherwise I'd have forgotten this gem of a show. I'm partially...

    Once & Again S3 news

I got seasons 1+2 blind during Barns and Noble's buy 1 get 1 free sale (both seasons for about 25 each, not bad at all!) after falling in love with My So-Called Life. After sitting with them unopened for about 3 months I finally popped season 1 in. Needless to say, I burned through the entire...

Superman Ultimate Edition $7.28 @ DDD

Site is back, it's back up to 74.99 fye.com has it for 31 and some change. With a new account you get an additional 10% off (code - WELCOMECCTEN) A lot of people claim it's now backordered. My order from earlier is still "processing" Still a great deal either way. (thanks to...

    Dynasty

I wouldn't expect anything like that. Studios don't really think about things the same way as fans. I seem to recally Buffy season 4 and Angel season 1 being released several months apart despite a lot of crossover episodes that originally aired. My guess is that if Dynasty sells really well...

    The Sarah Connor Chronicles

Then again, as we've seen in T3, they're not above rewriting history (T2 apparently takes place in 1997 now...) and John was 13 at the time of the 2nd film. Point is, it's a "what if" series. In other words... there's no proof that Sarah will die of anything at this point. The advance word of...

25 reasons why Halloween 9 should not be made!!! Audition Tapes now online!!!

Danielle Harris is listed as "Leading role" which leads me to think they may have cast her as Laurie Strode, which IMHO rocks like I never believed possible. Some people don't care for the idea of her playing a different character than Jamie, but I see it as a neat tribute to the franchise...

    Any insight on Ally McBeal?

I have the individual season sets available at www.amazon.co.uk Seasons 1, 2 and 4 are full-frame, seasons 3 and 5 are 16:9 widescreen. All of the seasons look pretty good in comparison to the network airings I remember. To the best of my knowledge they have all of the original music...

Why are there so few, if any, reissues?

Sadly, I don't think we'll get a reissue of Weeds until they possibly do a HD-DVD release. :frowning: I've got HD versions preserved for the first season, but it's depressing not to have an actual BOX, etc... *sigh* Lionsgate kinda makes a lot of mistakes, and very often.

    Serenity (2005)

I just happened to notice it in the flyer for "sunshine at midnight" when I was seeing Running With Scissors the other night.

How Nightmare on Elm Street Collection DVD...

The NOES series was NOT filmed with the DTV format in mind. Considering NOES1 was New Line's first real hit... and the other films were subsequently green-lit based on the box office success of the previous ones... (not to mention, New Line didn't even distribute the films on video themselves...

    Serenity (2005)

For people in the NY area. The Landmark Sunshine Cinema down on the lower east side will be showing SERENITY as one of their "Sunshine at midnight" movies. The film will play Fri/Sat -midnight on November 10/11, I believe. I'm excited. They tend to pick movies that they know have cult followings...

DVD Review HTF REVIEW: The Little Mermaid - Disappointingly NOT Recommended

Well, one can't deny that the absense of the image now implies that they removed it out of fear. I'm a little annoyed at the fact that the line about the tiger has been taken out of Aladdin. These are NOT offensive scenes. A few people get angry about them, Disney removes the material instead of...
