I have one for sale. I am original owner and it was used for only 6 months, basically like new. It is in MINT condition! It was used in a dedicated home theater, mainly on weekends. No pet and no smoke environment. I have owned this model twice, I think that for the $, it may be one of the best...
Eric: The different cabinet size would affect the sonics of your center speaker, but the largest contributor to its "different" sound is probably acoustic-related. The center speaker's horizontal layout, as well as its placement (on or near TV) usually has greatest affect on how it sounds...
Longtime member, occasional poster chiming in here. "Still further into 2005 (assuming things all work out as we'd like)? Just what's probably THE most eagerly awaited thing since the SV Subwoofer: an SV Speaker. Specifically, a line of "full range" speakers which will perfectly mate to one...
One issue with buying pricier ($500 and up) electronics from WalMart is that they do *not* offer optional extended warranties - I ask every time I'm in there. Can become an issue if you believe in them. I didn't used to, but nowadays TV's seem to crap out within five years (much more complex)...
Yes, 192/24 was intended in my question - sorry for the typo. So it won't exist for 5.1, that's a shame. Is there a decent sampling of 2 channel 192/24 titles available? Thanks. Rich B.
I am new to DVDA and have four discs, all of the 96/24 5.1 variety. Does 192/48 5.1 exist on DVDA? Or only in stereo, and what are the titles? I did some google searching but finding lists that specified resolution weren't easy to come by. Thanks. Rich B.
James: I owned an ATI1505 + NHT speakers. I've listened to Ricky's Parasound and Aragon amps numerous times. Ricky has always used NHT's in his system. All three brands are quite good - but I would give the following recommendation (just my opinion): (1) Aragon (2) Citation (2)...
Aragon Soundstage w/ full upgrade Powered Active Speakers - Mackie Bob: How did you like your Theta? I've heard very nice things about its sonics. Thanks. Rich B.
Sony's flagship receiver, the Sony STR-DA9000ES, allows for a 9.1 channel hookup - I've attended a Sony demo in the NYC HE show a couple months ago, that had it working this way. I don't remember if Sony labels this "mode" as being "SDDS". Rich B.
Another vote for the Soundstage - I recently picked up a mint Soundstage w/ the Upgrade off Audiogon. I have listened to every prepro Ricky has owned, and the Aragon was the ONLY one that I liked enough to want to put into my home system. For two-channel it will be VERY hard to beat as this...
