Blu-ray Review HTF BLU-RAY REVIEW: Across the Universe (Highly Recommended)

Yes, more or less. Mr. Gallagher seems to think there's some depth in the story, which I really can't see.

If it is a joke, it's not a very funny one. It does prove me wrong in this case, but I still find the movie to be anything but subtle.

So, if she didn't come through the bathroom window, why would Jude claim that she did?

Blu-ray Review HTF BLU-RAY REVIEW: Across the Universe (Highly Recommended)

I thought that the movie was crap on rye. The characters were amazingly two-dimensional, the dialouge was stale, the so-called "love" between the two main characters was non-existent, but most of all, the movie lacked any kind of subtlety. Example. Scene: Female character enters through a...

Thanks for clearing that up, David. Always a trooper. :)

    DVD Review HTF Review: Zodiac

David Prior: The "Presidio Heights Crime Scene" animation, which can be found on http://www.zodiacmovie.com, will it be integrated into the DC in some way? I was surprised that it wasn't in the movie, since it's VERY Fincher-y, and VERY well done and complete. Seems like a waste to be put only...

    Wedding Crashers - Due 1/3/06

There's not much new footage. If you want to see one of the longer new scenes, check out this YTMND: http://wcdel.ytmnd.com/ And there's not any more nudity in the uncorked edition. :frowning:

Got my copy of the uncorked version today, and lo and behold; it contains both versions of the movie. Let us rejoice.

Difference is old & new releases of Iron Giant and Mallrats???

The SE of Iron Giant has a hilarious featurette about Teddy Newton, who narrates a really funny storyboard sequence. Gold!

    The Frighteners: Director's Cut - 11-29-05

Daniel P: You know, after reading a post in the Sin city-thread here at HTF, I decided to cancel my order. Too much money for only 4 minutes of new footage. I'm getting it when the price goes down to 20-25. :frowning:

    The Frighteners: Director's Cut - 11-29-05

I'm sorry, I forgot to clarify that it was the R1-version I posted pictures of. I have an excellent supplier that *always* send out DVD's in advance. I'm expecting the new special edition of Sin City any day now. :)

    The Frighteners: Director's Cut - 11-29-05

Well, they removed the storyboard-part from the documentary, and movied it over to Side A of the disc along with the movie and the commentary, and left the rest of the documentary on Side B, probably for space. So it's all there. :)

    The Frighteners: Director's Cut - 11-29-05

Gotta love that slipcase. :) Finally got my copy today. The DVD18 contains *everything* that the Special Edition Laserdisc had, plus 2 new introductions by Peter Jackson, and an anamorphic transfer of the film. Sadly, no theatrical cut of the movie on the DVD though, so don't sell your old...
