I am using Magnaplanar MMG W speakers for front L&R. They are very nice, sound great, mount on the walls, and have gotten excellent reviews. Being dipoles, they would be good for side and rear surrounds too. They are 5 ohm and are fine with the 1014. $300/pair but you must have a subwoofer.

As I said earlier, my local store matched the price knowing it was from their internet site. Also, if you get one from any of the internet sellers that are not authorized dealers, Pioneer won't honor the warantee. Most of the internet sellers also have short return policies, only 10 to 15 days...

No, I increase the gain for the subwoofer by changing the volume setting in the 1014 by using the EFFECT/CH SEL and + and - buttons on the remote. I then set it back later. No reason you couldn't up the volume on the subwoofer with its own volume level set if you can set it back accurately.
