I've had mine since Wednesday. The DS is a nice system, but right off the bat PSP is so much slicker. Ridge Racers is absolutely killer. Vampire Chronicle is almost Saturn perfect save for the load times. Everybody's Golf is just as good as the PS2 versions. I love this thing and I don't care...
Pikmin and Super Smash Bros. came out about 2 weeks after the American launch, but they came out 2 months after the Japanese launch if you want to split hairs.
I'll probably wind up getting both the DS and the PSP, but at this point I'm far more interested in the PSP. The DS has great technology with great potential, but the games.... so far it looks like the same old Nintendo. A Mario game, a Mario Kart game, a Metroid game..... same old same old, but...
After watching most of Nintendo's press conference I'm still on the fence for the DS. The technology is great. The two games they showed looked good, but the 2nd screen just looks like a glorified map/status screen at this point
Actually, I think the Euro-Color versions came out in 2001. The Midnight Blue/Black in summer 2002. The Gundam Gold version last summer. Gran Turismo white came out around Christmas last year. Plus, there were the 3 pastel colored versions that were released last spring. Sony's been doing...
I've got one of the Japanese L.E.s, the Euro-Blue Automobile version. Sure I could have saved a few hundred bucks, but there's a certain "cool" factor I like. Now, if it ever just breaks down, that would be depressing.
Technically this one's an upgraded re-release, but it's only 20 bucks Sega GT Online for Xbox 480p - yes 16:9 - yes Online - yes Content Download - yes Dolby Digital - yes
Surprised no one has added this one yet... NFL Street - Xbox 480p - yes 16:9 - I think so. I played it on a friend's 4:3 set and it doesn't look stretched on my widescreen. Dolby Digital - yes
I only said it was a rumor... http://www.the-magicbox.com/game010204.shtml X B O X - RUMOR: TalkXbox reported that Microsoft's Xbox 2 will not come with a built-in hard drive, however an optional hard drive will be available separately. The current issue of EGM also has a rumor about...
The rumor going around now is that Xbox Next will NOT have a built-in hard drive to keep the costs down. But a hard drive will be available as an accessory, supposedly. And Sony's "Cell" chip which has been touted as the hub of the PS3 isn't even supposed to begin manufacturing until late 2005
They sent me a email notice about a month before my subscription ran out, since my credit card was going to expire before the renewal. I updated my credit card info the day before my Xbox Live would run out, and it didn't show up on my credit card bill for at least a month.
I got a Power Joy for Christmas, apparently bought from the QVC network. It's the "Limited Edition" with 84 extra games, although I don't know how that compares to the Super Joy
This one may not be coming to North America, but I'll just throw this one out. Gran Turismo 4: Prologue - PS2 16:9 - yes 480p - no If there's one game Sony needs to implement Progressive Scan on, it's this. Really nice looking. Hopefully Sony will put 480p into the full version...
