Well, my disappearance was fun, no? Back, trip over, actually read to respond to e-mails instead of letting them linger for days on end. I promise I'm here! List has been updated with the remaining Blu-ray stock, should anyone be interested.

Blu-ray Review HTF Blu-ray Review: Friday the 13th Uncut

In a somewhat related subject, I saw the remake tonight. The teen actors are hampered by some awful writing, but Jason is awesome. He's Steve Dash and Ted White with more brain cells.

I never would have noticed the cropping if someone hadn't mentioned it. The framing looks quite good to me. The biggest improvement is the sound quality. TrueHD Manfredini score is awesome.

How Are The Saw Movies On Blu?

Both not true. Saw II has all of the features from the Special Edition DVD. Also, and this is an easy mistake to make, the cut of Saw on Blu-ray is unrated. The box lists the R-rated theatrical version, but I assure you the film included on the disc is Wan's director's cut.

    A Few Words About A few words about...™ Friday the 13th -- in Blu-ray

Halloween isn't a good movie because Michael Myers is unkillable. Hitchcock's films all have worth outside of twist endings. They all have numerous points that build up to their well-deserved classic statuses. You said that I can't call Friday the 13th a bad film because the killer is...

Despite our disagreement on the first, I officially like you! Anyone who appreciates Jason Lives is okay in my book.

I disagree completely. I found the Marcy stuff to be incredibly dull. One of the reasons I like Part 2 so much is that it feels like the first done by a competent director. The characters are better, the villain's scarier, and there's a sense of excitement throughout the whole thing.

    A Few Words About A few words about...™ Friday the 13th -- in Blu-ray

That's because it's a cheat. It's a whodunit that doesn't introduce the killer until act 3. It's literally impossible to guess the killer for the first 70 minutes of the movie because they haven't ever stepped foot on screen.

    A Few Words About A few words about...™ Friday the 13th -- in Blu-ray

It's a really awful film, and yet I'm compelled to buy it. Glad to hear about the grain -- I found with Black Christmas that the abundant grain helped give everything a very film-like look. I'll get excited when 2, 4, and 6 hit Blu...

"A Nightmare On Elm Street" InfiniFilm DVD coming

Halloween's my favorite 'big three' horror film, but Nightmare is definitely my favorite series. Even at its worst it was entertaining.

"A Nightmare On Elm Street" InfiniFilm DVD coming

I think Nightmare 2 is a bit... odd. The pacing sucks and I'm not a fan of the lead, but I think Freddy's at his most evil in the film. I absolutely love the scene where he comes out of Jesse and kills Grady.
