Without a ground. Not the greatest solution but it works.

I had the exact same problem except my cable run was quad shielded RG6 with the aforementioned adapters. Figured it couldn't be a ground loop with the cable disconnected at my amp but I tried a cheater plug on the sub anyway and it cleared it up. Might be worth a try. good luck.
