    Doug, The 'i's are the next model. I haven't heard the M73's, but using the M71 and M71i as a base, the money spent on the the new model is well worth it. Given the price and size, I cannot recommend the M71i's highly enough. They are a great little speaker, whereas the M71 was very ordinary.
