The misinformation about burn-in on plasmas coming from LCD zealots is impressive. One has to really abuse a plasma set to even get image retention, much less burn-in, on them. It's a shame to be so paranoid about a non-existent problem that one's willing to settle for a much inferior display...

You should have black bars on the top and bottom with 2.35:1 films, but anamorphic 1.78:1 and 1.85:1 discs should completely fill the screen with the TV in full mode. If not, you definitely need to check your DVD player's settings. It shouldn't be cropping the image so. The PDP-5070HD is...

All of the films have optional French subtitles, except for Bad Education. Picture quality is excellent.

Producer Mark Tinker notes in one of the commentary tracks that they frequently used sound-alike versions, because they simply couldn't afford the rights to the original recordings most of the time. Having access to ZZ Top's "Legs" and other originals was a rare thing.
