There might be another fuse at the other end of the power wire for this amp (at least it was standard practice where I used to install to have both). It should be connected to the battery or the connecting block under the hood...look there for a blown fuse. Even if he can't find the other fuse...
Fosgate is not Rockford Fosgate the car audio company. Fosgate the HT theater company and the man (Jim Fosgate, I believe) was a pioneer in the surround processor market and there current electronics are quite good. That said, I've never heard their speakers or seen a review of them.
I have a DPR2005 and have been using it daily for 18 months. I'm very pleased (and surprised) by how good this reciever sounds. I fully expected to not love it and move it to a secondary system (or return it) before I used it, now it's staying in my main system until I feel like buying a real...
I have an LC-37HV6U (older LCD then yours) and I've used two progressive scan DVD players on component inputs and not had any problems, so I would guess your problem is either the player or the cables. You might try to borrow another player and set of component cables and try that out.
You can't go wrong with any of the Harmonys. They are easy to program and anyone can learn to use it within a few minutes. I'm not saying the Pronto is not a damn good remote , just that the Harmonys are more user friendly and easier to program.
There was a thread last week about someone having a problem with gaming on a DLP. The problem was the processing the TV does creates a delay making gaming on the set difficult for some games and impossible on others. I can't remember which model Samsung he had or which forum I read it on (here...
I can't really help you with the NR question but I clean my Sharp Lcd with a 50/50 mix of alcohol/distilled water and a good quality microfiber cloth. I buy waynestowels.com or tropi-care.com MF cloths b/c they are very well known in the automotive circles for having quality MF towels that won't...
I like the sound of the Canton's over the lesser JMlabs models but you should listen to both using your own music and pick the ones that sound the best to you.
I have NHT SB3s in one system and B&W601S3s in another system. The B&Ws are about $450/pr and hard to find cheaper then that. The NHTs are $600/pr but pretty easy to find deals that are lower priced. The B&Ws are disappointing and require space around the cabinet to sound good (lots of it). The...
Instead of an emitter you connect from the block to the component using a cable with mono 1/8" headphone jack on each end. I use this on my HK recvr for zone 2 and it works perfectly. If you are not sure what to buy, take an emitter to the store with you and ask for a cable with that connector...
I would recommend getting a wireless amplifier and adding your own surround speakers that "match" the front stage. I have a wireless Radio Shack amp that I was using for my rear surround before I could run wires and now I use it to power my outdoor speakers. The RS amp is about $100. Kenwood...
Never, ever, ever autocross or race with heavy loose items in the car. Put quick disconnects on the box and take it OUT when you race!!! You mentioned L brackets, I assume you bolted the bracket to the box and then to the car...so what went wrong with this solution???
