Are you talking about a DirecTV pay-per-view sport channel? Or a regular run-of-the-mill channel? If the latter, set your expectations VERY VERY LOW and you might be satisfied. Pay-per-view broadcasts get more bandwidth on DirecTV and look much better. I find the regular channels to be...

The digital cable service delivered by AT&T Broadband in Eugene Oregon is ABYSMALLY BAD on *any* TV. It's LAUGHABLE. I can't believe anyone would think it looks better than analog cable. AT&T boasts about its "Digital Clarity!!" but never mentions the actual resolution. And if you ask them...

I bought myself a Sony 27FS12 (I think; the PIP model) for the bedroom, have been very happy with it. So for Father's Day I bought my dad a 27FV12 (he has DirectTV only and no use for PIP). We set it up today, and the first thing I noticed is vertical pink "halos" on the left and right sides...
