DVD Review HTF REVIEW: Pocahontas 2-disc 10th Anniversary set, OUTSTANDINGLY RECOMMENDED

And that's what I think so many people seem to forget. Disney never advertised Pocahontas as being historically accurate. In fact, the tag line was "An American legend come to life." That doesn't say history lesson to me. I picked up the DVD yesterday and plan to watch both DVDs tonight.

DVD Review HTF REVIEW: Pocahontas 2-disc 10th Anniversary set, OUTSTANDINGLY RECOMMENDED

Thanks for the insightful review David! Great insights! I do have a question for you though. Has the end of the "Mine, Mine, Mine" song been restored? It used to end with a long shot of the decemated forest but was changed (for the video release I think) to a close-up of Ratcliff holding a...

Audrey Geisel recants, approves 'Horton Hears A Who'

I don't know something about this sounds "off" to me. CGI seems the wrong medium for a Seuss. It should be hand-drawn. But oh, I forgot audiences don't like hand-drawn films anymore.

When will Disney release these titles?

I liked the music better than the videos for Simply Mad About the Mouse.

What are YOUR top ten DVDs of 2004?

Rister - I was plesantly surprised by Follow Me Boys. It's a very entertaining and quite touching story. Lem is a great father figure and the boys are all very believable. A real treat. Probably my best blind buy.

The Golden Compass - "His Dark Material" trilogy being filmed?

Maybe it would be a good idea to get some of the cast from the acclaimed London stage production to appear in the film. If any of them were in the film my interest would rise dramatically. Whatever happens, I hope they don't dumb down the story and twist it into something it was never meant...

    Transformers the movie: 2006

I'm very scared of this movie. I love the Transformers so much and I'm just shaking in my boots at the prosect of a "live action" film. There is so much that can go wrong. To do it right will be a HUGE undertaking and must be done by people who care for the characters not suits trying to get...

Rank the Walt Disney Treasure Sets

    1. Tomorrowland A true revelation! I never saw these programs in school, but I wish I had. What magic and imagination! The Discovery Channel could learn a thing or two from these programs. The bonus interviews are priceless as is Walt's pitch for EPCOT. The crown jewlel of my Treaures...

Will we ever get Extended versions of Far and Away or Waterworld?

I enjoyed Waterworld. It wasn't nearly as awful as some made it out to be. I've never seen the extended edition, but if it explains a few things I'm all for it. Though I must admit that I'd rent before I bought. As for Far and Away. I never cared for that film. So if there was an extended...

    Creepy Kids' Films

Retun To OZ I think most kids are asking their parents to take them home 5 minutes into the movie. Something Wicked This Way Comes Not really made for a very young audience, but it still creeps out its tween audience. Gremlins Again not strictly a kids film but it was partly responsible...

    Muppet Movies discontinued??

I'm glad I bought these when they first came out! I'd hate to miss out on all the Muppet madness for all this time. The discs are pretty lackluster though. I'm hoing that Disney will give these movies the respect and attention that they deserve. Especially The Muppet Christmas Carol and...

    Disney "Hunchback" DVD won't play

I have the Hunchback DVD and it plays fine for me. In fact, I just showed it to a friend a few weeks ago. Disney can be hard to deal with at times like these, but if you call them and can speak to a human being you might have better luck getting a replacement. Question: Was the DVD stored...
