    Walt Disney Treasures Wave 4

 I'll be there in a couple of weeks(Disney World) and it makes me so mad this attraction was changed. It was one of my favorites growing up. Tiki Birds in the Tiki Room.... For a new wave I'd like to see some opening day/History stuff for the Magic Kingdom and Epcot, since...

LCD vs CRT vs projection- what's best for gaming?

I don't think you can get burn in on an LCD rear projection TV, due to the fact that it is a fixed pixel display. It should be more along the lines of a DLP, in that regard. Something to worry about though is getting dead or stuck pixels. This really isn't too bad unless you have multiple ones...

    advantage of 16:9 tv v.s. 4:3 question - preference

Agreed, that is annoying. My parent have a 4:3 Sony XBR direct view set and Comcast will broadcast like this fairly often. When a true HDTV signal comes in though, everything is normal. This should end up becoming more commonplace as more and more programming is going HD. There are still some...

    Toshiba's 2004 Model lineup

That looks like quite a solid line-up. I'm excited to see how their DLP sets look. Thanks for the info.

LCD vs CRT vs projection- what's best for gaming?

I'm basically in the same boat as you, trying to figure out what my next TV will be. I've considered direct view CRTs (mainly the 34" XBR910 (superfine pitch) or the 40" XBR), rear projection TVs (Pioneer Elite, Mitsubishi Platinum and Diamond line), DLP (43" and 46" Samsung), LCD Rear...

DVD Review HTF REVIEW: Disney Treasures - On The Front Lines, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

It also has a very cool segment called Baby Weens that is animated, somewhat:wink: This is actually one of my favorite sets just because I generally love behind the scenes stuff. Check it out if you get a chance.

If you don't mind sharing, what were his favorites from the other 3? I wonder if they line up with mine? :)

DVD Review HTF REVIEW: Disney Treasures - Tomorrow Land, ENTIRELY RECOMMENDED

Just a heads up, this release is seeing much fewer numbers (105,000) compared to the rest of wave 3. It will have less than half of the numbers compared to On the Front Line. I think this will be a sleeper that ends up being rather hard to find soon. If you are interested in it, I'd hurry and...

Tube TV's 1 year from now?

I don't see the CRT, especially a direct view set, going away anytime soon. I think the first ones that will start disappearing are RPTVs due to sheer size of them. Of course, as nice as the DLPs, LCD-RPs, etc look, a nice Pioneer Elite or Mitsu Diamond Line properly set up will look better...
