I have mixed feelings on the whole format war. I tried to be format neutral for the past month but I have had serious problems with Blu Ray since day one. I purchased 6 Blu Ray movies and a Samsung BD-1400 player that when I got home and opened the Box a BD-1000 was in the box. To add insult to...
I also seem to have more issues with HD DVD. I just picked the Planet Earth HD DVD and none of the discs will play in my A-35. I also had issues with Harry Potter and TOP and the Bourne Ultimatum.
Just picked up a PS3 after my lackluster performance of my Samsung BD-1000. So far I have been very impressed with PS3 Blu Ray playback. I'll wait till the standalone Blu Ray 2.0 players drop in price before picking one up.
With all the problems with that I am having with this player. I am considering picking up a PS3. Then I'll wait till Blu Ray's specs are finalized before picking up another player.
Hi I just picked the BD-P1000 and after updating the firmware. I can play DVDs, but I am not able to play Hellboy, Casino Royale and Superbad. Any thoughts?
I am offically format neutral today as well! Im a proud owner of the HD-A35 and I picked up a Samsung BR-1400 for $200 from my boss. His loss my gain!! Now I need to pick up so good Blu-ray titles!!
Well I did it!!! I just jumped into the world of HD. I just ordered the HD-A35 along with Transformers, 300 and Batman Begins. I can't wait till Friday to set it up!
