Nice. Nothing was funnier than watching Mallrat's on the USA network (I think, or maybe it was TNN or something) a couple of weeks ago. Jay's voice dubbed over %90 of the time by someone else.. heheh.. funny stuff.
I thought WFG was terribly unfunny as well. I bought it because of recomendations, and having enjoyed other "mockumentary" style movies.
I just didn't "get it". Bored me to tears, and I turned it off after about 40 minutes as well :)
Of course, Office Space on the other hand is one of my...
I thought it was cool that the Donnie Darko DVD included a sheet inside that fit perfectly over the from cover that basically was the original movie poster.
More DVD's should do this. Maybe they do and I just don't have the right ones :)

"I believe that as long as the 4:3 set has an anamorphic squeeze function, the resolution would be the same as the widescreen set." Interesting. Well, then I think I see what Javier was getting at. If I go HD, I will go 4:3 then. Bigger 4:3 immage, same sized 16:9 immage for the same...
I have a question.. call me "the noob". So you have 2 TV's. One is a 16:9 TV.. the other is a 4:3 TV. Both are High Definition sets. Both are the same width, but the 4:3 TV is obviously taller. Now, you have an anamorphic widescreen DVD who's AR is approximately 16:9. It fills the 16:9 TV...
I think it would actually exaggerate to a pan-and-scan fan just how much screen is being taken up by the black bars. And I always wondered why players don't allow you to move the player-generated subtitles... I can't stand when they are in the black area (I have a 4:3 TV) because it forces me...
"Actually, that's the store not knowing any better " I doubt that, unless just about every major retail outlet in my area doesn't know anybetter. I've seen the DVD for $15 or under at several stores. Fred Meyer, Walmart, Best Buy, etc. Aaron
I bought the 2 disc set on sale for 14.99 at Fred Meyer about 2 months ago. Strange practice: Announce a featureless re-release of a product, then throw the usually $20+ dollar release down a bunch. I'd wanted to buy Fight Club for a long time, but every time I looked at it the DVD was...
I have a feeling that the warning was pointed almost directly at me :)
I apologize if anyone was offended, but I surely didn't mean any offense. It was meant to be humorous, and I truly do smile at the fact that you all like this type of product.
It is certainly up to the moderators of this...
Pointless, absurd, geeky. That's probably how I would begin MY review of a product like this :)
But having said that, I can't help but smile seeing your excitement for this product. I'm happy to know that this DVD fulfills your dreams. But, I still can't help but think how not practical this...
Dude, Pluto Nash rocks guys! I'm totally gonna roller-blade down to the mall and check it out again today.. all my freinds love it too! See ya at the theater!
DonC: About the microphones. That is most likely not the fault of the movie itself, but the theater playing the movie. I'm no technical expert on the subject, but often times a theater will set up a movie for the wrong aspect ration. Basically those parts with the microphones you saw were...
One Note: There aren't very many Walmarts in this area either. In fact, I don't know where ANY Walmarts are, I've heard they exist in the Seattle area, but I KNOW for a fact there isn't a Walmart in existence with a Seattle address. That could tell you something about the area as well. Aaron
