I've been fortunate to have worked in post houses most of my career and it has afforded me opportunities to get a lot of gear cheap or free. I bought the Onkyo HT receiver and Oppo BDP-83 the normal way. The Yamaha amps, B&W speakers and seating I got at a fantastic discount. The rest was free from either post houses or install clients.
