I'm steeling myself to endure the 3D version of this, having seen the 2D version.

French chancer Noe is to be congratulated for achieving some kind of landmark but not much else.

His cast give (and show) their all but it makes sex look about as exciting as cleaning the sink.

In between the bonking scenes there's lots of looking into camera, wandering around Paris and talking in riddles, as is seemingly obligatory in French "art" movies.

The characters just make me want to strangle them and the acting is strictly am dram.

There's a couple of scenes which make the unwary want to duck, even in 2D.

If terrorists have chained you to a radiator then this may help to pass the time but it may also make it seem to pass more slowly.

As porn it's pretty routine and as drama it (like some of the characters) sucks.

Turns out the 3D isn't bad and mercifully, no one gets beaten to death with fire extinguisher. :) :3dglasses:

Am I the only person who'll admit to watching this? Must I suffer alone? :3dglasses: :)

I was going to watch this on the big screen but I can't drive myself to the movies at this time due to surgery, and I couldn't find anyone to drive me. I am waiting for my 3D disk to arrive, and then I'll watch it. You are not alone.

Good soundtrack Funkadelic, Pink FLoyd, Eno but I agree with you about the dull characters. The (few) outdoor scenes were nice. Made trips to NYC especially to see this as well as Every Thing Will Be Fine later after much anticipation, Disappointed with both.

Hi Stephen. Was in Scotland visiting my fave Blu-Ray shop and they had a large stock of these new for £6 complete with slip cover so secured a copy for the 3D collection although probably not going to be my bag I asked them to slip it into a brown paper bag which made a few laugh. I'll report back when I pluck up courage to watch it.

It was on Netflix a while back. Watched a bit of it. Definitely x-rated. Not 3D though.

It's not a good movie. I was disappointed with the 3D, the sex scenes were unbelievably boring, and the characters were unbearable. I hate to be so brutal, but this barely qualifies as a movie. I'd say it was as painful as reading a college dropout's emo blog, but that's an insult to college dropouts and emo blogs everywhere.

Worked myself into a frenzy also plucked up courage to watch it in 3D.

What I was impressed with was the colour pallet of the backgrounds which were really crafted altering the scene mood. 3D was good on our 8ft projected screen with depth and um popping out. I picked this up last year for a few pounds and its certainly the most extreme content in my 3D collection although runs a bit over long, perhaps 90 minutes would have been enough? From a creative art point of view its worth buying or perhaps if you want to bring back a few memories

Not to my knowledge. The U.S. 3D release got canceled shortly before its release date. If you ever go region free, I'd let go of my copy cheap as I have no intention of ever rewatching it. Truly one of the worst films I've ever seen. It committed the cardinal sin of being massively boring.

To be totally honest...this film is pretty damn lousy. It totally fails to engage the viewer on any level. Surprising how poorly conceived the whole thing is and I find it hard to believe anybody would give this a good review.

So there must be something wrong with me cuz I LOVED IT! I watched the UK 3D BD and was deeply engaged. It was a very emotional experience for me. Loved the cinematography. I've liked all films Gaspar and his wife Lucile Hadzihalilovic has done. My favorite is Innocence directed by Lucile which is a perfect 10/10 masterpiece.

No, nothing wrong with you, ha, I think there are fans of every film and detractors of every film. I was surprised by the film because based on the other two Noe films I've seen, Irreversible and Enter the Void, I thought at the very least the film would be provocative and interesting...but for me it just wasn't. To me it seemed like an experiment that he just could not figure out and the actors, to me, seemed lost. I never was able to get into it and though I made it to the end, I regretted not turning it off. I think for some people the draw was the "3D sex" but wow, I would never have thought this possible but he made the sex scenes seem boring.

Away from the action content I did enjoy the way it was filmed particularly the colour pallet as mentioned and the ultra slow tracking shots but it is a film that will sit in my small pile of 3D oddments being another example of what actually made 3D Blu-Ray. The 3D looked quite reasonable on our projector and seen a whole lot worse in the more mainstream releases.
Believe I paid around £5 for this so didn't exactly break the 3D piggy bank.
