I'm really looking forward to this.

I hope someday WB will release the 1933 and 1949 adaptations on Blu. It would make a great double feature.

Curious to know if anyone knows the current status/fate of this Blu Ray? I was thrilled when the announcement/pre-order went up last year but nothing ever materialized. Such a beautiful film that will no doubt look amazing on Blu Ray, given that it's a Sony/Columbia title.

Finally! After 2 1/2 years, the price on this has dropped (to $21.49).

I pulled the trigger, even though I figure it'll probably drop even further in short order.

Even though the announcement was way back in 2015, the Blu-ray actually became available just 3 months ago. The price isn't likely to go any lower due to it being burned on demand (BD-R format).

I hope someone in Europe picks this up.
I refuse to buy a BD-R. (unless it was something extremely rare).
Karate Kid III was released in Europe in regular bluray disc while in US it's again a BD-R.
So, I'm hoping.

I've had that thing in my Amazon cart FOREVER (constantly stuck at $26.99)!

Didn't realize it was just recently available for order.

Looking forward to it.

It looks gorgeous! I'm sure you're going to enjoy it on Blu, Mike.

And we have, Andrew! :D

I've been thinking about this conversation as we are re-watching this disc again tonight. Each shot is lovelier than the last. And methinks my wife has a bit of a crush on Mr. Christian Bale. (I always wondered why she's always asking to watch Newsies...).

Glad you've been enjoying the Blu, Mike! I wasn't going to watch it this Christmas, but I couldn't resist buying the 4K version on iTunes. I watched it two nights ago... it looks incredibly beautiful. I'm looking forward to seeing the new Greta Gerwig adaptation over the holidays.
