I have a couple older 1970's Stereo Receivers a Rotel RX-803 and a Pioneer SX-939 the Pioneer may cost more than it is worth to get repaired noisy transistors stuck in Protect Mode. The Rotel Stereo Receiver need Tuner Attention distorted sound and I had a Stereo Tech clean all controls and switches in 2013 he said an I.F. Chip or R.F. Chip had gone bad. I have a Harman Kardon from 1995 hooked up to Bose 201V Stereo Speakers. Is High Current a special feature to have in a 1990's Receiver my 2008 Yamaha RX-V363 doesn't seem as powerful.
