I couldn't find an exact forum that seemed to fit, so this looked as good as any!
A few weeks ago I purchased a second hand cassette adaptor that plugs into a headphone jack to play my iPad through the car stereo. It's not overly impressive to begin with but it was tolerable in my minivan. I recently acquired a 1993 Buick LeSabre with only a cassette player. I don't wish to switch to a new radio, so I went with the same setup. To put it mildly, it's terrible! It picks up motor noise like an old AM radio and is real noisy in the vehicle. Is this going to be the case with any of the headphone to cassette adaptors or would a newer one function different? I don't have to have the ultimate in fidelity, but picking up every little whine of the motor and transmission is annoying!
