As Roger Ebert has said, "I hated...HATED...HATED this movie!"


Hard for me to believe this has an audience, except for anyone who still has fond memories of Don Johnson. Even the rock/synth score by the usually wonderful Basil Poledouris sorta sucks (which is probably why no commercial soundtrack was forthcoming). Mickey Rourke was not challenged by his role. Simon Wincer could be a superb director (of westerns, anyway, as in LONESOME DOVE and QUIGLY DOWN UNDER), but I feel he really foundered here. Obviously the movie has its champions, thus the release.
