Most of us probably know Sterling Hayden from his warm humanitarian portrayal of General Jack D. Ripper in Dr. Strangelove. It turns out that his actual service during WWII could be made into a thrilling film too.
Hayden was in the OSS doing the kinds of jobs now performed by Navy SEALs. A new book discusses his and other comrades exploits. The author gives a capsule summary in this article here.

Makes you wonder how Hayden said these lines:

Makes you wonder how Hayden said these lines:
Nineteen hundred and forty-six. 1946, Mandrake. How does that coincide with your post-war Commie conspiracy, huh? It's incredibly obvious, isn't it? A foreign substance is introduced into our precious bodily fluids without the knowledge of the individual. Certainly without any choice. That's the way your hard-core Commie works.
