I am surprised it has never been released in HD anywhere I am aware of. I wonder if the elements are in bad shape. Amazon Instant Video has an HD version listed, but it isn't HD. My DVD looks better. Anyone know anything about a blu release?

I haven't seen the film since early 80's on VHS and watched it more than twice. (Dabney Coleman) the sexist pig boss.

I wonder if Mr. Hart, is still in Brazil.

Russell Tinsworthy: [firmly cutting him off] Hart! Let me make this perfectly clear: I ain't the kind of boy who takes "no" for an answer!
Franklin M. Hart Jr.: [feebly as the elevator doors close] Brazil...?

Yes I'd have thought we'd have seen a Blu release by now.
It's 1980, so Fox will get around to it....eventually.

Looking at it now, it's surprising just how Lifetime Network the thing was all along, but Parton, Tomlin and Coleman were such good performers, we just, well, didn't notice.
Probably the fact that it didn't have a female director, and had "Foul Play"'s Colin Higgins instead, kept the "It's a man's working world" theme from getting too didactic, vindictive, straw-man or mean-spirited--as a lot of chick-flick comedies would today--and just kept it as engaging comic fluff. There's something we've forgotten how to do. :(
