I think the new season of the Simpsons is off to a good start with the premiere (and the death of Krusty's father) and the appearance of the Simpsons on the Family Guy crossover - which was great. There's still life left in this old series.

I enjoyed the FG crossover more than I thought I would. The "chicken fight" at the end was awesome - loved the return to Springfield Gorge!

Last night's couch gag may have been the weirdest thing ever on network television. It's at least the weirdest since "Twin Peaks" aired.

Heads up to those who care: Tonight's Simpsons is the crossover with Futurama.

So, just watched this -- first Simpsons episode I've seen in a couple of years.

Decent-ish Futurama episode. I hope that there's some way that I can get this to add to the Futurama collection, without having to buy a full season of the Simpsons.
