IMO, it could have been either.

They've finished Laverne and Shirley, Happy Days is continuing, so Mork and Mindy's final season could have been planned.

Or, CBS could have seen the massive sales spike for seasons 1-3 in the last month, and decided now was the time to release the final season and possibly make a profit off of it.

We'll probably never know.

I read in another forum that Gotta Run Part 2 (the second to last show)was shot in 3D (red/blue) but never aired that way. Would be nice if it were included.

If the release date is truly Dec most likely before. At this point I don't care. I'm just so glad it's finally coming!

Been expecting this for a while (I suspect this has more to do with all the activity recently in wrapping up Laverne & Shirley, unstalling Happy Days, and releasing Joanie Loves Chachi, rather than the loss of Robin Williams).

Happy to see it finished, finally.

That said, this season is too weak for me to bother with. I liked it when Mork didn't fit in very well on Earth. Not enough laughs in season 4.

The links in the TSOD article are no longer working or maybe amazon.ca jumped the gun? :(

Mork and Mindy makes for 22 episodes of the most surreal, mind-bending, absurdist television ever created. Never mind Twin Peaks; M&M 4 is Salvador Dali's nursery rhyme. It's not that funny, it has little to do with the three seasons that came before it--but by god it is weird. Even M&M's closest offspring, Third Rock From the Sun, never got this weird. I think people need to see it just to see it.

I remember seeing it on Nick at Nite before I saw any of the first three seasons! Mearth is basically Benjamin Button.

Mork & Mindy' first look:

Robin Williams' sitcom gets full DVD release
The passing of comedian Robin Williams on Aug. 11 sent many nostalgic fans looking back at his breakout role on "Mork & Mindy," and now they can do so on their television sets. CBS Home Entertainment and Paramount Home Media partnered to release "Mork & Mindy: The Complete Series" on DVD for the first time, and Zap2it is happy to debut the box art for the release exclusively above.

The DVD boxed set will be released on Dec. 9. The 15-disc DVD collection includes 95 episodes total and will run consumers $129.99. Meanwhile, "Mork & Mindy" Season 4 will be released on DVD for the first time Dec. 9 as well, and cost $39.99. The Season 4 DVD set will include two "Happy Days" episodes featuring Mork.

"The manic brilliance of Robin Williams was a gift that the world enjoyed for nearly 40 years," CBS Home Entertainment president Ken Ross says in a statement. "We hope this commemoration of one of our first glimpses into that genius can be a significant part of the many tributes to his legacy."

Super pricey for the whole set. I was able to pick up the first two seasons at WalMart for under $10 each a couple of weeks ago. Granted, that was to capitalize on the death of Robin Williams, but still. Oof. I was a kid when the show was on and loved Mearth. I was surprised later on to discover that most folks hated him. I'm almost afraid to go back and watch that season for fear that it will taint my memory of it.

I will pre-order S4 only as soon as available. I remember watching the re runs of S4 when I was a kid and thinking how outrageous it was for Mearth to be their son. I know it doesn't compare well to the first three seasons of the show but I want to re-watch it and finally complete my Mork & Mindy collection.

Season 4 is rubbish but I'll get it just for the 2 Happy Days episodes.
Viewing season 4 makes it easy to see why it was cancelled

Wish they had included those as extras with season 1. I have little interest in Happy Days after season 2 or season 4 of Mork, but I do like that Happy Days episode where Mork first appears.

Yeah I'll disagree completely. Season 4 was good. Some just like to complain. Was it as good as the first two seasons? No, but it sure had more seasons left in it
