Has anybody had experience with this projector on higher-parallax, vintage 3-D titles like House of Wax or Dial M for Murder?

I've heard mostly good reports but one friend noted some ghosting/crosstalk on Wax. I'm wondering if his settings are wrong?

Any comments - either pro or con - would be very much appreciated. Thank you!

Hi Bob,

I have the Panasonic AE8000. I didn't remember any scenes with ghosting until someone mentioned after the intermission, the gold buttons on the police man in the museum. I noticed more ghosting after that scene around the 52 minute mark with the white shirt and dark suit that Vincent Price is wearing in the wheel chair. It's very slight though and in all the other scenes with men wearing white shirts and dark suits I don't see any ghosting at all. But those are the only scenes in the whole movie that I noticed ghosting.

That was me, it was a torture test for my Samsung plasma, my DLP projector passes every 3D test with zero ghosting.

The Sony VPL-HW40 is pretty good for 3D with as good native blacks as the Panasonic AE-8000 but only if you buy the RF emitter and glasses pack, i hear the IR ones are not so good, the Epson 5030 is even better than the Panny and Sony.

By the way Bob, this site below claims the Epson has an astonishing low crosstalk figure of 0.39, that's DLP territory, it also says brightness in 3D is almost 9.5ftl which is one of the brightest on the market, seems like an excellent projector, review below.

I've been extremely satisfied with that projector in the month or so that I've had it! I have yet to watch more than the first ten minutes of "House of Wax" or "Dial M For Murder" on it, so I can't say for sure -- I'll definitely report back when I get around to those. "Inferno" looked spectacular, though!
