Thanks Ronald.
I just pre-ordered it. One of my favorite horror films, it's great to see it coming to Blu-Ray. This is one creeeeepy zombie film. I hope to squeeze it in the October Scary Movie Challenge...but it's going to be close.

sweet! But I'll wait for a price drop. 20 clams per funky b-flick is too rich for me. :( would love to see these as double features like MGM used to do (and like they did with TerrorVision). Made it worth the scratch.

With that, I highly recommend this. It even has Sandy from Flipper in it. I remember seeing for the first time and going... "holy hell that's Sandy from Flipper!!"

Better lock in that preorder price now before it goes up to a now-standard $28. We're all paying dearly for Amazon's power hunger and bound-to-failure ideas (drones and in-house delivery fleet).

I have so many BU DVDs, but haven't upgraded that many yet. They kinda release one BD here and another one there... Are the old extras usually included?

For the 3 people who may be interested in this release, an insider on another forum has relayed some very interesting info concerning the transfer. Apparently Blue Underground's upcoming Blu-ray reissue of this title will include a new scan from a 35mm print. If you're familiar with this film's release history you'll know this is a BIG development, as the previous release came from a battered 16mm print. The film was shot in Super 16, so that will also help the PQ's prospects. This is now a major upcoming release to those of us who enjoy good schlock :)

I had never heard of this one.....doubt I'll buy the BD but it is on AIV for $2.99. I'll give it a look based on the info I found on it.

As an aside, in the 70's and 80's I was a huge slasher film/horror fan but now the old "horror" films I watch are the old Universal ones. I think as films got more gory and sadistic, I got turned off by the whole genre. "I worked in a slaughterhouse one summer. Don't have to pay good money to see it again" (James Garner, Murphy's Romance).

That was me being sarcastic :P I certainly hope Shock Waves has more than 4 fans, lol. It's just that every time Ron starts one of these threads it gets very little feedback. It saddens me :(

BTW, it's getting a 2K scan. Forgot to mention that.

Darn! Pushed back to November 25. Looks like it won't arrive in time for the scary movie challenge after all. :(

I have heard that one before* from Blue Underground, they always say that, check Zombie Flesh Eaters from the UK, the Arrow release was from a new 2K film scan and then check out Blue Undergrounds version which claimed to be from a new film scan but looked like an old one, now maybe they are being honest, just saying, i think a lot of hyperbole is sometimes said to sell copies.

*I'm a skeptical SOB, i just don't trust enough, i'm not changing for the world. :D
