Would you buy The Turning Point  on Blu ray? Just curious as to how many people would care to have this film.

I recently watched all 485 Best pictures (plus about 10 others films) in 365 days! www.oscarmovs.com

I'd love to review it, but if I wasn't sent a copy to review, I would certainly buy it.

Not gonna lie, when I saw just the thread title, this came in my head:

He holds her in his arms.
Would you? Would you?
He tells her of her charms.
Would you? Would you?
They met as you and I,
And they were only friends.
But before the story ends...

He'll kiss her with a sigh.
Would you? Would you?
And if the girl were I
Would you? Would you?
And would you dare to say,
"Let's do the same as they."?
I Would. Would you?

And would you dare to say,
"Let's do the same as they."?
I Would. Would you?

No.

It's a dusty, pompous, stiff "prestige" drama. The only signs of life in it come from Leslie Browne.

I originally had it on VHS and it didn't make a huge impression.  Got the DVD not terribly long ago and tried to persevere with it again - just couldn't.  Its really odd because I normally enjoy ballet-themed films.  This one just leaves me cold.

I remember Jeff (Tank McNamara) Millar's review in the Houston Chronicle back in 1977:  "If you like ballet, there's a lot of dancing.  If you don't like ballet, there's a lot of dancing."

The story just feels cold and disjointed to me.

Would you… please not post silly, misleading thread titles that come off like click-bait?

I've never seen the film, so a theoretical Blu-ray would have to be really, really, really good for me to blind buy it.

It may be silly and misleading, but it worked, didn't it? :D

Enough is enough, Disney. No more evasions or excuses. We DEMAND the release Song of the South on Blu-ray along with the uncut version of Bedknobs and Broomsticks on Blu-ray. I will not support anything your company produces until then.
