These titles are being reissued to tie in with the new Apes theatrical release.

Just thought I would post them here if anyone doesn't have them yet....

I'm wondering what happened with the 2K restoration of the 68 film Fox was working on a few years ago.  It seems a missed opportunity.

This may be it. We don't know yet.

In 2011, when Rise of the Planet of the Apes came out, the Film Forum ran what was billed as being a 35mm print of a brand new restoration -- so assuming it's the same thing, it at least has been out there in some form.

Ronald,

Are you sure the 1968 Apes film is just a reissue and not a newer transfer?

Thanks!

Bryan,

Not sure.

I was guessing a simple re-issue to coincide with the theatrical release.

However, at the same time, if a new transfer has been struck what a better

time to release it.

I was at Best Buy today and they had the 5 film set repackaged in a standard blu package on sale for $20. New cover art too.
