I promised to start this thread when construction began, but I've been too busy, and now the Grand Opening is only three days away!
Here are some photos:
I'll have more of the inside soon. I'd love to talk about equipment or business, or whatever anyone wants to discuss.
Gotta go - I've got employees to train.

Yeah, that's the place. Actually, right across the turnpike, in Firewheel Plaza, right behind Firehouse Subs.

And, of course, @FirewheelCoffee on Twitter
I've decided not to do the Facebook thing since all my customers will be local. I'm working on a photo gallery that should be up tonight.

I might be heading to Plano (my boss is there) at some point if so I'll take a drive over.

Steve, I look forward to seeing you there! I didn't know you were familiar with this part of North Texas.

I live fairly close. The last movie I saw was at AMC Firewheel.

Drat. I just learned that the furniture delivery has been delayed until after Thanksgiving. I have seating for six around the fireplace, but no tables and chairs in the rest of the shop.
That's not going to go over well with the customers.

Put a sign up that says "For a healthier America, we're going with a standing only policy for all to mingle and chat" :) Maybe scatter a few large bouncing balls for folks to practice their yoga and add a few standing desks...

Hmm, large bouncy balls + scalding hot beverages = ???

All joking aside, congratulations Brian. We'll all be pulling for you.

I know a couple of local restaurants who use FaceBook to advertise specials and promotions. They do things like put pictures of their dishes online, and remind people of their hours.

Congrats, Brian! What an adventure, huh?

Time to turn lemons into lemonade (or coffee beans into coffee). Have some kind of fun with the late furniture delivery.

Make your patrons feel like they are part of something special--getting in on the "grounds" floor, perhaps--by visiting your establishment before all the furniture arrives!

All the luck in the world!

Wow good for you. That is actually pretty cool.
You could go to Walmart or target and grab a few chairs relatively cheap till the real stuff comes in.
Also I think FB is a good idea. Like Steve said you could list hours and specials. People can post good word of mouth info there.
It's just simply another way to get your business out there for people to become aware of it.

Though I don't use Facebook much, I also think it's probably a necessity in today's business climate so you may want to reconsider.
Also, if you're not going to have all your furniture available, or rent/buy temporary furniture, just make sure you have signs or notices letting folks know that the seating is still a work in progress. For some people, if they walk in and find nowhere to sit without any explanation, they'll likely not come back again and may spread bad word of mouth to their friends/colleagues.

Congratulations, Brian!

Great idea, especially now the quality of coffee all over the US has improved so considerably during the previous years.
Whenever we might find ourselves in the neighbourhood, we'll very happily pay you a visit as patrons.

But, uhmmm..., I hope you do realize that someone living in Amsterdam, like me, would think for a moment you were starting a different type of establishment.......
