$41 for this set is a steal....

...I would jump at it if I didn't already own a few (but not all) of the films already.

I'll have to think about this one.

WB, should not be allowed to be able to distribute Tim's films as most of them have only gotten lack luster treatments ie (Beetlejuice "20th Anniversary").

I also have most of them as well Ron. it cost more to get mars attack separately then to get the boxset with the 7 movies. I recently been watching his movies. he is one of my favorite directors. I watched his early stuff and his later stuff as well. it was interesting to see how he matured with each film. Jacob

Release date confirmed is May 1st. Since I don't have any of these any longer, so I'm getting it. $6 per title is a great deal.

THE TIM BURTON BLU-RAY™ COLLECTION

WHV Celebrates Tim Burton’s Best Works September 11

Pee-wee’s Big Adventure, Batman, Batman Returns, Beetlejuice, Mars Attacks!, Charlie & the Chocolate Factory, Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride

Includes a Collectible Hardcover Book Containing 64 Pages of Photos and Illustrations

About the Films:

Pee-wee's Big Adventure

Two of the most original talents in recent decades – Pee-wee Herman and director Tim Burton – teamed on what was to be their major breakthrough in this riotously funny movie about Pee-wee’s cross-country search for his stolen bike. As Pee-wee encounters bikers, cowboys, crooks and a phantom trucker and passes through the Alamo and Warner Bros. Studios, any resistance is futile: unstoppable laughter always follows. Celebrate the one-of-a-kind magic that this mirthful, colorful, bountiful movie still packs.

Special Features:

·         Commentary by Paul Reubens and Director Tim Burton

·         Additional Scenes

·         Production Sketches and Storyboards

Beetlejuice

What are a couple of stay-at-home ghosts to do when their beloved home is taken over by trendy yuppies?  They call on Beetlejuice to scare off the family – and everyone gets more than she, he or it bargains for from the afterlife’s freelance bio-exorcist!  Tim Burton guides this PG-rated comedy ‘monsterpiece’ whose stars include Alec Baldwin, Geena Davis, Winona Ryder and Michael Keaton as Beetlejuice, the ghost with the most who just can’t leave the ladies (living or dead) alone while flinging one-liners and spinning into grotesque forms.

Special Features:

·         Beetlejuice Cartoon Episodes!

o        A-Ha

o        Skeletons in the Closet

o        Spooky Boo-tique

·         Theatrical Trailers

o        Beetlejuice

o        Pee-wee’s Big Adventure

Batman (1989)

Tim Burton’s direction and Michael Keaton’s performance combine perfectly in this first film to capture the sinister atmosphere of Gotham City and the brooding nature of Batman. Jack Nicholson almost steals the movie as the maniacal Joker and Kim Basinger is Vicki Vale, the beautiful and resourceful photojournalist desired by both men. Featuring songs by Prince and a score by Danny Elfman, Batman won the 1990 Oscar® for Best Art Direction/Set Decoration (Art Direction: Anton Furst; Set Decoration: Peter Young)*.

Special Features:

·         Commentary by Director Tim Burton

·         On the Set with Bob Kane

·         Legends of the Dark Knight: The History of Batman – The Comic Book Saga as Reinvented and Reinterpreted over Seven Decades

·         Shadows of the Bat: The Cinematic Saga of the Dark Knight Parts 1-3

·         Theatrical Trailer

Batman Returns

Gotham City faces two monstrous criminal menaces: the bizarre, sinister Penguin (Danny DeVito) and the slinky, mysterious Catwoman (Michelle Pfeiffer). Can Batman (Michael Keaton) battle two formidable foes at once? Especially when one wants to be mayor and the other is romantically attracted to Bruce Wayne. Like the groundbreaking 1989 original, Batman Returns is directed by the wizardly Tim Burton. And like the first blockbuster, it’s a dazzling adventure that leaves you breathless.

Special Features:

·         Commentary by Director Tim Burton

Mars Attacks!

AWAKE, EARTHLINGS! It’s later than you think. Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride

Set in a 19th century European village, this stop-motion, animated feature follows the story of Victor (voiced by Johnny Depp), a young man who is whisked away to the underworld and wed to a mysterious Corpse Bride, while his real bride, Victoria, waits bereft in the land of the living. Though life in the Land of the Dead proves to be a lot more colorful than his strict Victorian upbringing, Victor learns that there is nothing in this world, or the next, that can keep him away from his one true love.

Russell,

This is a great set, but since it was originally priced

at $41 (it is now nearly $54) I am going to await a
price drop.

Ron, I'm doing the same thing on the Canadian site. This looks like the type of title that will get a Amazon gold box deal or something over the holidays.
