The Disclaimer
Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed Sunday advertisements. All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price.

"LP" in the RoundUp table means a store’s Sunday flyer says "Low Price". That means I could not locate a definite price for the item, and the ad is all I have to go on. Retailers use these phrases in advertisements so that they do not violate MAP (Minimum Advertised Price) agreements with the studios. Doing so can cost them thousands or even millions of dollars in co-op advertising funds.

I, obviously, cannot include EVERY title released in a given week in the RoundUp. The titles included are those that I am interested in...as well as those which I consider will be of interest to a majority of consumers (and sometimes I’ll miss one!). I don't get paid for this, and I don't have the time to list every DVD. So, please don't complain! If there is a title not included in the RoundUp that you want to see, just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone!

Note that I cannot include Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club prices in the RoundUp. They set prices at individual stores based on nearby competition, so there is no way I can say here what price you'll find at YOUR local Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club location. And, as always, Circuit City does not guarantee their sale prices in Hawaii.

Oh, man. I want the Tough Guys Collection bad. I'll be unable to get it right away, though. Soon, though. I can retire my G-Men tape.

Lots I want this week, but Brisco County and Jack of All Trades are the immediate must buys. Everything else will probably wait, since I'm going to San diego for Comic-Con this week. Real tempted to fill in the holes in my Simpsons collection with that BB sale, though... Bill, any interesting extras on the Hudson Hawk SE scheduled for next week? Amazon doesn't list anything. I've always thought the movie rather underrated, but I must admit I'm surprised it's getting the SE treatment given its rep as a massive flop.

Yep, Flash Gordon will be the only standard DVD purchase I make this week. It was Filmation's crowning achievement and features some excellent animation in the earlier episodes. I just wish the original feature length movie was included with the set but unfortunately BCI does not hold the rights...

Julio, never saw the full official specs but dvdactive said the 15th AE of Hudson Hawk will include a trivia track, deleted scenes & at least 2 behind the scenes featurettes & of course anamorphic ws. With a retail of under $20 it should be pretty reasonably priced even if it's not fully loaded. ps In addition to everything listed above Laser's Edge lists a Director's commentary & music video.

Well it is, but indications are that this is a significantly better release. For example, the original wasn't anamorphic and this one is supposed to be. After two weeks of nothing, at least there'll be one dvd (the aforementioned Some Like It Hot) this week.

Thanks for the Round-Up. Noir #3 and Warners Tough Guys are essential purchases this week. The extras on the latter alone (including those infamous blooper reels) are worth the purchase price by themselves.

Looks like I'm going to catch up on Simspons sets at Best Buy. Sweet.
Luckily, right at that moment, an unconscious Argentinean fell through my roof.
