I have a Pioneer projection HDTV. It has developed a very audible hummmm.

It wasn't as bad until I recently moved and re-setup my system. I now hear a large humm from particularly my center channel speaker.

A little about the setup now.

Using a Yammy RX Z1 as a pre-pro and a seperate 5 chanel amp. The center connect runs behind the TV from the pre pro to the amp (They are on seperate sides of the entertainment cabinet). I had the TV and everything plugged into a surge protector. I tried to unplug the TV from the surge protector and plug directly into the wall but that did not help (same circuit I supose).

Any thoughts or anything perhaps I forgot to mention.

Thanks in advance for your comments.

Sounds like a ground loop.

Remove the cable/satellite feed and check if the hum stops.
