I watched this really Surreal Film called EL TOPO on an old vhs and I would like to find the best dvd version. There is an Italian dvd from Raro video and a Japan dvd {with digitally fogged genitalia.} any real art house fans out there have anything to say about this flick?

if you must own it now, the Italian version appears to be the obvious choice because of the digital fogging on the Japanese version...I have heard rumors that there will be a legit region 1 release of this soon (possibly from Criterion?) - just rumors, so take them w/ a grain of salt Posted Image

I think these are more than rumors-Klein and Jowdorowsky broke the legal logjam-so maybe a Criterion is in the works
