I'm not usually a Thread Starter, but I thought this would be a very interesting topic.

I received no DVDs for Christmas. That's because no one trusted they could buy me something I didn't already have Posted Image
(Not that there are 100s of titles I don't have, and want...but how would they know?)

I gave mostly DVDs as Xmas gifts, since I think they are timeless. I bought LOTS of GWTW 4 Disc SE for people, especially since Target was selling it for $25. Hands down the DVD of the year. Many people got LOONEY TUNES: GOLDEN COLLECTION VOLUME 2 and MARY POPPINS.

Also gave several LOTR-ROTK: EE to many people, as well as
SCTV 1&2 for a few college buds who love that series.

Most of my relatives got THAT'S ENTERTAINMENT:COMPLETE COLL-
ECTION. Perfect gift idea.It went over (like GWTW) like gangbusters (as did Leap Frog)!

Amazon wishlist, my man. And if you put a whole bunch of titles on there, it makes it even easier for the gift-buyer to feel like they can surprise you.
