Hollywood seems to have a thing for releasing old TV shows on DVD when a new theatrical movie version comes out. This recently happened with Starsky and Hutch. So why wasn't the cartoon "Josie and the Pussycats" released when the movie came out a couple of years ago? Anyone know if this classic HB cartoon will ever get released?

I don't think TV on DVD had really taken off yet to the point it looked profitable to the studios when that "film" came out in the theaters.
