Holy Shit! Can things get worse?

CTU seems like it has to collapse from all the moles tunnelling under it !

This is a fun show(just started watching a few weeks ago). "24: Day 3", what does that mean? Was the first season just two days before this season?

Wonder if that URL he gives work(course I didn't write it down, but I'm sure whatever it was, it'll get a bunch of hits tonight Posted Image )

Pretty good one. Interesting twist at the end (although fairly predictable) I was just cringing at the thought it was going to be Kim again. I kept saying "They can't be, they can't be!" I was thinking that maybe Jane Saunders was going to pull a gun and shoot everyone else in the car but Kim and then take her. That actually would have been pretty cool.

I did think it was a bit of a cheat though how all of a sudden they had Michelle. Guess Saunders is pretty good.

Also, something strange has got to be going down at CTU. Chole is acting pretty weird, even for her. "I'm starting to get sick of your personality!"

Looks like Tony is going to have some explaining to do. It must have been harsh for him though. Thinking Michelle was in the clear after all she had been through only to be captured by Saunder's men.

Another thing, When are the bad guy's henchmen in these things going to get it. If you state that you are leaving and then turn to walk away, you WILL get shot by the lead bad guy. Happened twice this season, thus far.
STOP HIM! He's supposed to die!

Saunders doesnt mess around does he? He is pretty much Evil Jack. It did seem kinda cheap that all of a sudden michelle is in Saunders custody, but it must mean that one of the uninfected people at the hotel are on his pay list.

And Chloe, I am starting to feel is on Saunders pay list. I mean, who would suspect an annoying person like her as a mole?

Day 3 just means the 3rd season. Day 2 would be season 2 and Day 1 would be the 1st season.

If I was Jack I'd have ordered stun grenades to be fired through every window of that building the moment they knew Saunders was indeed inside it. Where's Bruce Willis when you need him?

Great episode. The second they showed Michelle being transferred I began hoping that Saunders was after her and not Kim/his daughter. Glad that turned out to be true. The "Kim in trouble" scenario has been used way too many times before.

Glad to see Palmer take a stand finally. Tony sure is in a crummy situation, and I agree that Chloe may be on Saunders team. Someone on the inside had to leak the info regarding Michelle's immunity to Saunders.
In Heaven, everything is fine.

I dunno, I thought it sucked. First, they take the easy way out with Michelle not being infected. Of course, that's just so that they can pull the switch later. Jack thinks Saunders would assume he needed 90 more seconds to get a trace, and of course, he didn't. Then when Jack shows up, he figures Saunders would know they're there, because he would. Once you're there, Jack tells Saunders that the only way he'll get out alive is to walk out the front door. So the reason for him not to release all of the virus is what?

If you stretch, you could make the case that Saunders had people ready at the hotel specifically for this contingency, but he had to be really lucky for Michelle to avoid infection so she could leave. Because she's the only one he could use to force Tony. Still, it's awfully convenient. We're manipulated into believing the motorcycle guy was going after Kim and/or Saunder's daughter. But aren't the writers clever, they take Michelle instead, just after the "I love you"s.

I did like what Palmer said about not running, and how the press should serve the public interest instead of being their usual selves.

The IP address he gave Tony definitely won't work since it starts with 257. I guess TV shows and movies have to start using fake ones just like with the 555 telephone numbers.

Nice message from sylviaimports! Posted Image

Anyway, Saunders' order to kill off Chappelle finally makes sense. He always intended to use Michelle as a bargaining chip, and needed Tony to be in command. I wouldn't be surprised if Michelle is immune thanks to Saunders somehow - in other words, he may have the vaccine if not the cure.

Decent episode. Posted Image

They need to make Kim a field agent next season. She just isn't plausible as a desk jockey and Michelle, Tony, and even Chloe blow her out of the water acting-wise.

You think Jack is mad!

I just finished a long post, 20 minutes in preparation, posted it, to get the "you are not logged in", and couldn't get back to my text.Posted Image

This used to happen often enough that I would often write a post in word processing first befoe I would post it, but this hasn't happened for a long time.

Hadn't saved it to my word processing this time, so I have to go get breakfast and start over again.

Some toast, juice and coffee, I feel better now.

Now, where was I? :

"Michelle being taken fooled me (but we were set up : remember Kim looking at an unfamiliar face when she and Saunders' daughter were leaving for CTU, and noting that CTU was sending this tremendously valuable asset (Saunder's daughter) to CTU in an unescorted sedan.)

Between stupendous technology, and army of loyal minions (do they share his apparent ideological mission), and seemingly, another mole inside CTU, the Big Bad has more resources than Jack.

But is Saunders that smart? His daughter is living in a state where a virus is out of control. He just offed his techie right hand (Tony didn't shoot Chloe Posted Image.) The idea that Saunders has an antidote ready sure seems likely. But what the heck is his end-game - to have the world go to hell-in-a-handbasket?

I was hoping that when Saunders sauntered out of the building, Jack would be there to meet him, not having been taken in by distraught Tony's ploy (even if the other 500 CTU agents, troops, and local sheriff's deputies were.)

Finally , why would Palmer ask the media to go easy? In a situation ("the worst case" in Tony's words) like this, I'd hope the Executive would not be relying on the news media to convey info or instructions to the population."

That, at least, is the jist of what I wrote earlier

What about the guy who's sister is infected being the mole? Could he feel that Saunders betrayed him by infecting his sister somehow and therefore help CTU in catching him? Could Chloe be on to him somehow?

Okay, honestly, who would you rather see offed - Saunders or Chloe?

Murder is okay, but it's nice to see that Palmer draws the line at treason.

This was in instense, jam-packed episode and the ending totally threw me. I kept thinking pink-shirt guy from the library would come driving up to Kim's car.

?? - shouldn't the CTU satellites pick up Saunders leaving?

Nice A/V presentation Jack put together for Jane - and so quickly too. It made me laugh actually. He'd make a good school teacher with those overhead projectors!

I'm glad actually that Saunders escaped. I was wondering if they were going to have a 4-hour standoff. I'm curious as to how Saunders will play this - just how important his daughter is to him. It still seems pretty sloppy that he allowed Jane to be taken and the phone number to be traced. And how did he know Michelle was immune? Can't wait to find out.
