Strictly Ballroom

The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert

Nomations:

Chopper
The Dish
The Castle

Babe

and if it is eligible, Moulin Rouge!. Filmed in Australia, by an Australian crew, with mostly Australian actors. But funded by 20th Century Fox (which is owned by Murdoch Posted Image)
Top 10 Film Lists: 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004

No, New Zealand films are not admissable. Not interested in the best Australian film coming down to Fellowship vs. Return of the King. Posted Image

I'll have to think on Moulin Rouge. Consider it in for now.

Thanks Bill, I've seen exactly ONE of the films you nominated. I've always meant to see The Year Of Living Dangerously and Breaker Morant and never gotten around to it.

I'll go ahead and add: Lantana, Babe, and Babe 2
2002 Sight & Sound Challenge: 321  Last Watched: L'enfance Nue
Last 8 Films Watched: In the Loop - A- / It Might Get Loud - B+ / What Just Happened? - B / Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs - C- / Drums Along the Mohawk - A- / Punisher War Zone - B+ / Moon - C+ / A Man For All Seasons - B+

I’ve actually seen quite a few, but I knew going in that there would be no point in nominating ones that were not much known here.

Unfortunately, I’ve not seen all of the well-known ones.
