portable powered headphone amplifier (1 Viewer)

I also just recently purchased a delphi skyfi home unit. I was also having problems of receiving too low volume levels out of the skyfi to my rogue integrated amp. I inserted my "porta corda headphone amplifier" between the delphi and rogue. The volume problem now is no longer an issue, it really works out in my system very well..greater clarity, bass seems tighter also. I discovered the use of the portable amplifers over on another site for headphone users when I was researching for a pair of headphones last year. The site is called..Headfi.com.

I don't use it quite the same way but I've built a Cmoy altoid tin headphone amp for use with my Delphi (as seen on HeadFi ).

And actually it started out in an altoid tin and then I moved it into a switchbox so I can pick different sources and different destinations (headphones, computer speakers, ht, etc)
