If you like Wii sports, get the Wii Monkeyball game. It's got 50 party-style games that are a blast to play. There are some sports (racquetball, hammer throw, etc.) but there are also some wacky ones (trombone playing, etc.). There is also the other areas of the game (std. Monkeyball fare). Highly recommended (nunchuck required for some elements).

We had the Super Monkey Ball 2 game & really enjoyed it "at first." Then it just got frustrating. Very hard to control. Is the Wii version easier to control? How is the game play different?

Well, IIRC the SMB2 game had the 'story mode' and the 12 or so party games. I only played the party games on the old game (typically golf and the glider). The new game has the story mode and 50 party games. The previous 12 are there (each slightly different than the SMB2 version) and there are a lot of additional games. Control is _easier_ than Wii Sports but this is not necessarily a good thing in terms of competition (i.e. raquetball you just get close via nunchuck and swing and it will be a decent shot vs. Wii Sports tennis where you have to be very accurate). The SMB glider/target game has been dumbed down significantly (no multiple levels, no special items, etc.).

As a standalone game it's not great (like playing Wii sports by yourself). As a party game it's a lot of fun. Even the stupid games are fun for a few rounds. HOWEVER, if you did not like SMB2 then do NOT get this one... it's just more of the same.
